Go on - ts; give us a hand here. Which (if any) of the solutions offered so far are correct? I'm not even certain if Night is right.

clues? I've been dropping them like Hampshire fielders drop catches !!

Night is right, and features in all the titles.

The Songbird clue is in #1276.

The Bridge you have to find is more Premiere, than Premier, and Wales is where you will find it. ( additional clue in #1275)

              BB was correct, of course.

So, from the additional clue in #1275, and others along the way, are we looking for a piece by Frank Bridge, with Night in the title, and an association with Richard and Wales, for the first part?

Correct. the " first "element is significant, but I'm sure you'll get the piece anyway.

( in absence of " Shurely Shome mishtake smiley).

Are the "Soggy-brained 'Poops" a "Soggy Bottom boys" spin off?

At any rate this daft set of clues shouldn't have left you in "Constant Sorrow".

So Mid of the Night, first recorded by the National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Richard Hickox?

                            Love that piece.

Finally nailed, to the letter. Much ado about nothing, really.

                            who wants to take over?

Ferney got the word, and left others to get two thirds of the detail, so I guess its Ferney's by rights, unless Subby or Cloughie are ready to open the bowling .....
