Indeed Chrysanthemum is not the quartet fragment: that's (plural) Chrysanthemums (Crisantemi)!
So not a clanger at all!

Gosh, I feel like an 11-year-old doing Sats. It's all far too complicated...

          ... me too.

I had hoped that Georges Hartmann, the librettist to Messager's Mme Chrysanthème (his version of the Loti story wh Puccini made into Mme B) might help - but don't think so

                    Aha! A hint that I think I understand.....are we humming, I wonder?

We have Puccini's Humming chorus in Butterfly, a Schumann Humming song in his Album for the young Op 68, but I have no idea about the third component.

Keep digging, it will be preserved and wrapped up on Google!

I think you HAVE dropped a clanger, Flay.
I dug around and found this:

So we have The mummy and the humming bird, but it's by Mellnäs not Mellinäs.
No wonder my first attempts got me nowhere!

<doh> Sorry! I didn't want to make it too easy...

                            What an Idiot

                            To compensate, here it is:

Arne Mellnäs, Eva Nordwall, Camilla Söderberg · Rameau / Frescobaldi / Norgard / Bergman: Aspects On Harpsichord · Song · 1995

Google asked me: "Did you mean: llamas humming?"

I hope that this is not too idiotic a follow-up, then.

Litotes? Toilets? Take us away from a memorial to another possibility to get a proper starter often seen as an aspect of the CE thread.
