That's impressive, ferney!
Very well done indeed.
But what did Helmut have to do with anything?
My 'starting to play' was Variations on a Nursery Theme, by Ernst (Ernest?) Dohnanyi!
Happy Easter Greetings to all from Florence.
(Ferney: You know where I live, so if my CD collection has been raided when I get home, you're number one suspect!)

White Rose is sung by many MV choirs down here - mostly in Cornish in the arrangement by Edward Goldsmith. It is also sung by many informal singing groups in pubs, at weddings (usually being selective on which verses sung), funerals and at local feasts, shows and festivals. A beautiful song when sung well.
An afterthought to our recent posting. It was a lovely July evening!

Meanwhile back on AA - any foughts abaht an effin' Eff, Ferns?"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Oakie-Dokey, try this:
Gustav's elemental dances; Marvin scores for a Lemon; Cesar's ends in the palace. wtF?

Methinks there's an association with today's possible activities (at least up to midday, according to tradition) involved here, ferney.
House guest here at present, and just about to go out for a morning trip in the spring sunshine, but will put my fool's cap on later and try to solve all parts if someone else has not got in first!
:-)

You'll have noticed, by the way, that all your CD collection is still in your possession - just rearranged in alphabetical order of work titleNumquam Satis!

Shall I foolishly jump in where Pulcinella has no time to tread?
- Gustav Holst - Perfect Fool ballet music (inc Earth, Water and Fire dances)
- Mr Marvin Gaye appears to have been quite foolish - singing e.g. What Kind of Fool am I? and Everybody plays the Fool.... (Can't work out what the lemon aspect is, though*)
- Ivan the Fool is an opera by César Cui (Tableau III takes place in the Tsar's palace)
.
I have discovered that the Soul of Marvin Gaye cocktail contains lemon juice.... ... Any good to you?
Sounds vile:
Acai, pomegranate, ginger juice, lemon juice, seltzer, lines of maca powderLast edited by Nick Armstrong; 01-04-16, 12:48."...the isle is full of noises,

2/3 of a fool, Cali - but I wasn't in a Gaye mood when I set the puzzle.

"Lines of maca powder"??! Isn't that what George Martin reported discovering in the Gents at Abbey Road whilst recording Sgt Pepper?Numquam Satis!
