White Rose is sung by many MV choirs down here - mostly in Cornish in the arrangement by Edward Goldsmith. It is also sung by many informal singing groups in pubs, at weddings (usually being selective on which verses sung), funerals and at local feasts, shows and festivals. A beautiful song when sung well.

Goehr himself wrote a piece called "Vers las Flamme" (it's one of his Deux Etudes for orchestra) and I was originally going to include that as well as the Scriabin - but there's no reference to the work that I could find on 'tInternet
