a veritable stockade of Stockhausens - but more specifically (to quote from the WIKI article) The score is dedicated to the composer’s son Simon, who was five years old at the time of composition.
... and a photograph of the infant Simon Stockhausen appears as the frontispiece of the score of the work.
So - the coleslaw:
Simon Stockhausen two Ss fer the price of one:
"patronised" by appearing in the score of his father's Ylem (the letters of which appear, crosswordwise, in "mY LEMon drizzle cake";
worked with his half-brother ("fraternally"), the trumpeter Markus Stockhausen in the Trio APARIS, one of whose recording releases was called Despite the Firefighters' Efforts;
has produced many film scores and solo albums on his own, one of which is Trip to Asia.
The second generation of Stockhausen Musicians (there is also a sister, Majella) warrant greater exposure in the UK than they currently receive (APARIS' work got some airplay back in the day).
