Constantin Silvestri, presumably? And Dutch based composer Franz Weisz? Assuming you don't mean the fragrant Rachel, Mrs Daniel Craig?

I suspect that Flay took one look at the puzzle setter* and decided it couldn't possibly be anything more straightforward

          No.

          No.

          Follow your nose, Mr Bond!

          * - does that mean that those who try to solve them are "puzzle settees"? Reminds me of IKEA.

Unless we're talking ancient Rome, where Miles is a soldier (though it's Colosseum not Coliseum), we are presumably in the environs of St Martin's Lane or Trafalgar Square, where we have Nelson's column.

            That's no help yet though!

No help ever - the needle would have been more helpful.

                Ah!
                Think I have a possible N!
Have found a Miles connection, and she also has an uxorial current Coliseum connection.
                Now for the others.......

Might be confused: Weisz and Silvestri are a combo, yes?

So we are looking for an N that connects
                  Weisz/Silvestri
                  Miles
                  The Coliseum?

                  In which case,
                  Nefertiti

Rachel Weisz starred as Nefertiti in Silvestri's The Mummy Returns
Miles Davis has a 1968 album Nefertiti
Nefertiti is one of the characters in (wife of) Akhnaten, currently on at ENO (though possibly without the choristers being dressed or singing the songs!)

                    WOW

Pending ferneyfirmation, that looks as tasty a dish of coleslaw as I've seen lately in this intellectual salad-bar

                    I am in awe.

Would that I were as lucid when confused!
                      - a perfect answer with extra creamy coleslaw. So, in the words of the "Four Candles" sketch - "Got any Os?

(Incidentally, as the chorus in Akhnaten are supposed to be slaves, wouldn't the choristers not "being dressed" be authentic? )

It was the needle hint wot did it, with the further south east: Cleopatra ---> Egypt ---> Nefertiti.

Old yer orses and an O will be along shortly!

This O is associated with a vitrified (though actually petrified) first appearance, and also with two varied members of an Elizabethan sextet, making a dozen in one case.

It was none other than Sir Tim Rice of Lloyd Webber fame, so it just might have been relevant.

Well I know but how on earth did you know Miles was one of his names?
