On the bottom right of each posting there is a quote box with a plus sign next to "reply with quote." Tick each you want to quote then "reply with quote" for the last one to be quoted.

Rember to uncheck the quoted posts afterwards if you want to reply later on the page with other qoutes.

Gosh. This must be the first time a St Mary's boy has told a Merchant's boy what to do
    Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Oh, I don't know about that. I suspect they told us quite often what we could do, even if they were supposed to confess their use of bad language afterwards!

Thanks for hint/instructions; will try sometime.

I have been trying. I can find a Reich association but I feel sure it's wrong.

I was worth it for the punishment of simply saying three Hail Marys!

You are correct that it is not Reich. All three were active in the twentieth century, although the second work dates from 2009 (or thereabouts - that was its first performance [along with songs by Nietzsche]).

Perhaps it's only the Third Reich that was wrong .....

This (no longer) seems to work, though, when you want to quote from other Threads. In reply to a PM query on this very point, I did a couple of experiments and I couldn't get it to work Either I've forgotten an important stage, or it's just ceased to be possible since I managed it a couple of months ago.

Oddly, this is the first time I have ever managed this !!

Just clicked the multi quote thing on Ferney and Pulcers' posts, hit " Reply with quote" on Ferneys, edited away, and hey bungo, all looking tickety wotsit.

which is what Pulcers wanted.....I think......

( bet they don't have this sort of trouble on the Fo6Music forum.....)

edit: oh , I see quoting from other threads got involved. I'm keeping out of that sort of unnecessary complexity.

Congrats! But both of your quotations are from the SAME Thread as the one to which you are posting them. See if you can post a quotation from (for example) "Stormy Weather" to here. (This used to be possible, I'm sure - but I can no longer do it on my computer - it'll be interesting to see if you, or anybody else can.)

Just tried adding a post from Stormy Weather, as suggested, and it has not been picked up.
                    Using my iPad at present.
May explore with main Mac next time I fire it up.

But one step at a time: think I'm more like to quote from the same thread.

                    STOP PRESS!!

Just saw some text in red at the bottom of the box I'm currently typing in, saying that I have also chosen a posting from another thread, and asking me if I want to include it or deselect it.
                    Guess which I did.
                    Hurrah!

(Should these posts be moved to the Technical thread, where some other Forumite who doesn't play AA might see them, and help us?)

PS: Postings chosen don't appear to have ticks next to them any longer, so not sure if I have to do something to deselect them or not! So modified rapture.
PPS: But the posting on the Stormy Weather still had a tick, so maybe that's what happens; current thread ticks disappear but other thread ticks remain?
Last edited by Pulcinella; 22-05-16, 16:09. Reason: PS added. Then PPS.

Can't seem to get the little red text message. Maybe works differently on Mac/ipad, as , for example, posting video clips do.

But , as you say, progress.

Songs by Adorno were included in the same concert.
