      Well done, Ferney.

These three (Salome, Rusalka, and Siegfried) are eponymous characters in operas.

Let's c what you come up with for us next.

Perfectly good puzzle, Pulcie: no "broken rules", just solvers thinking along different lines!

Yannis apparently composed the feem toon for this

Quirly-Shirk was t'ferryman in Curlew River
and wikipedia confusingly tells me that the ferryman in Tuonela is a girl

                  great question, an original surely

Ah - not the answer "on the card", which is more specific about a Sibelian Ferryman and its relationship to firestarters.

                      great question, an original surely
Once you get the specific Sibelius piece, you might see what I was originally planning, and how it got here instead

                      (The H is yours, anyway!)

ah yes, that didn't seem right at the time. How about

opus 32 Tulen Synty - The Origin of Fire, preceeding opus 33 The Ferryman's Bride ?

ah yes, very good, I should have seen that

I think I'm the worst culprit for not giving full answers, nor thinking through questions properly

I suppose I should tidy up

Yannis Markopoulos wrote the theme music for the 1977 TV series Who Pays the Ferryman?
John Shirley-Quirk was the original Ferryman in Britten's Church Parable, Curlew River
The Ferryman's Bride opus 33 by Sibelius 'follows' his opus 32 The Origin of Fire

I happen to have the first of those on a Melodiya CD

Shall I spoil the suspense, after 2 minutes?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
