Glenn Gould died in Ontario. Neil Young recorded 'Born In Ontario'. Andrew Davis conducted the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
Assuming I'm correct, I shall return after 'Upstart Crow' and 'Inside No. 9' if you wish.

            Here's your 'P'
One was American, one was Polish and one was French, and their combined ages totalled 113.

One of them was regarded as a prodigy but that's not the connection.

One of them was a very fine pianist - considered a prodigy in fact - but that's not the main reason for that person's fame. None of them played the piccolo as far as I know!

No help really - probably put me off the scent - I’ve got Chopin, Bizet and Griffes matching the ages. Also a connection between Griffes and Oscar Wilde - No P or hunting link as yet!

Chopin - yes. He and Oscar aren't far apart ...
Bizet - no, Gershwin - no.
