Well, the Irish are certainly on form this morning. Shall we leave it up to anton to adjudicate - the first mention of Christus was obviously the breakthrough.

As there is no VAR here, the referee's decision is final.

If that's OK with Dermot - let's me hearing more from the city of my birth!

Which 'D' links London, New York and Budapest?
FYI: This question has no seasonal connotations!

Well ... not the answer I had in mind, but you're correct in assuming that the connection is somebody's surname.

The person concerned may have conducted but is not primarily - if at all - remembered for that.
It would be nice to think that whoever solves this receives due recognition.

I was wondering about Erno Dohnanyi, who trained in Budapest and held various posts there and died in New York, but I can't see an obvious London connection. (He played and conducted there quite a bit, but that would also have been true of various other European cities.)

London - he played Beethoven PC4 in 1897!

The connection between the person concerned, who died at age of 62, and each of the named cities is the same.

Took a bit of tracking down, but I think we are looking at Antonin Dvorak, who was an Honorary Member of the Philharmonic Society in all three cities.
