Camille Pleyel could be the piano-wallah.
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Look at his date of birth and then at his father's Wiki page.

I'm not sure whether there's clue hidden in there. I'm also not sure whether the problems are getting harder or I'm getting slower on the uptake ....

"An S to link Camille Charles and Alain."
So it's a Charles we're still short of.

If I may .... nothing too taxing!
A 'T' that links Respighi, Schuman and Puccini.

And Tolkien, Hilary Mantel, and Olivia Manning in the world of literature?

I suspect that we are looking at trilogies here:

Respighi: Trittico Botticelliano (or we could have the Roman Trilogy of Pines, Fountains, and Festivals)
                            Schuman: New England Triptych
Puccini: Il trittico (Il tabarro, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi)

                              Triptyches rather than trilogies.

Which U's recordings include singing sad songs at a nativity in 1915?
