Two out of three - abandon the film director in this instance.

Or, to give it its full title, Sub olea pacis et palma virtutis conspicua orbi regia Bohemiae Corona: Melodrama de Sancto Wenceslao - by the time you've got through saying that lot, the piece has finished!

Any ideas about the "hurried" bit?

House/Enid/6-minute consultation. The Zelenka lasts ca. 7 minutes.

Not sure about Enid - but the length of the pieces has nothing to do with the "hurrying".

According to the original MS, it was 'written in a hurry in Prague' More than that I do not know.

                What more do you need?!

                So ...

Z for Zelenka, whose Hipocondrie is one of "six Concerti written in a hurry in Prague in 1723" (as the composer wrote on the manuscript); who wrote a sacred Cantata Il Serpente di Bronzo; and the melodrama-oratorio about the life of St Wencelaus (posthumously known as "Good King") Sub olea pacis et palma virtutis conspicua orbi regia Bohemiae Corona: Melodrama de Sancto Wenceslao

So, Cloughie got in first with the correct answer, but LMcD supplied the missing details. I'll let you both argue as to who shouldn't set the A-train going.

As it happens, I have had an idea for an 'A', but I'm happy to let cloughie have first refusal since he set me on the right track - all I did was scroll down a list of Zelenka's works! I'll check in again around 2120, so if he wants to go ahead in the meantime that's fine.

How about Alphabet Associations - III?

It's the Classical Association thread that's time limited (so about to run its 2019 course), isn't it?

Carry on LMcD - I’ve got a busy few days so would have difficulty servicing!

                                Not Abbado.
