                  If so, my kohlslaw will for the moment be incomplete, because I can't place a Bristolian Thomas. But I think I can get the rest to fit...

                    Dresden it is. Where do Faust and Turandot fit in? That should lead you to Thomas.

                        Schütz, Weber, and Wagner all had a specific role in Dresden.
