Can you think of a classical music connection with rugby?

I am looking for a name.

Secondly - and separately - the French phrase above could lead you to a Scottish Charles.

    Which one?

Thirdly, one picture was of a Roland organ.

The Roland in my question is not an organ but an organist is a key part of the puzzle.

Additionally, we have established that there are a lot of French in the question, that the man Arthur Rubinstein is not relevant even though he is mentioned, that there is a translator and a librettist involved and that none of it has anything to do with Swedish sport.

Would you like me to give you the name of the rugby connection?

Perhaps I should do so......the composer of "Rugby" was Honegger.

      (you and Ferney know that)

              Thank you.

You might wish to consider Honegger's full name and take things from there?

Well - there's an Oscar in there; and a different Arthur Rubinstein writes film Music, so he might have won an Oscar ...

But what any of this has to do with J ...

                  Dear Mr Lats

Could you please excuse my son from this week's Alphabet Associations lesson, as he has locked himself in his room and all we can hear is sobbing.

                  Yours sincerely

                  Ferney's Mum

(PS - please don't take any notice of the fact that my handwriting is exactly the same as his. It's just a family coincidence, not any attempt at forgery.)

Well, I wouldn't worry about the Oscar but rather think in terms of how he is ordinarily known.

The question does not concern the different Arthur Rubinstein you mention.

                      Dear Mrs Ferney's Mum

                      Thank you for your notelet.

What a pity when he was becoming so good at it.

Have you asked him what he wants to do?

Obviously we accept that he did not write your note himself.

We measured the pressure exerted and it was lighter.

                      Kind regards

                        (Great puzzle, by the way.)

Shall I provide the answer so that we can move on?

Genuine question - it might be the best course of action?

                            ........

The answer to the puzzle will be revealed at midday.
