However, I do notice a punctuation deficiency in the original - perhaps this might be of some use:

Ralph's, Willie's - not as big as Wolfgang's (written for Leopold's mother, perhaps?)
Yes, the revised punctuation really helped.
Good clue: I wish the RVW and WW offerings got more outings; they are played quite often in Casa Pulcinella.

Ah! Come on, chaps! Don't be shy: somebody must have an idea for Q!

        Surely scb got there first?
I have posted the P word on the What are you listening to now thread, as I am giving the Walton a spin as I do my morning chores! The RVW is to follow, and then his Concerto Grosso, the next piece on the CD, and similarly worth wider exposure, imho.

But I'm certainly not first in the Q!

He surely did - but he's being coy about the coleslaw. (And, as always, we can skip the anti-social parts of the alphabet!)

OK, so long as I'm not accused of stealing anyone's glory.....

Partita, the components being those of Walton, RVW, and Mozart (aka Serenade in B flat for 13 wind instruments, K361, the partita he wrote for his gran).

A very quick and easy Q.

The riddle setter lives here, and the undecided duke has a question: both add a little something to a searching ballet.
            What is the Q?

Sorry; je ne sais quoi, either!
Choir tonight, so there might not be any more hints or responses for a while.

                  Is a hint needed?
The first two parts relate to eponymous (yes, that word again!) characters in operas: specifically to a word (the same word, beginning with q) that appears in the first line of a well-known aria for each character.
Once you've found that word and followed the hint in the question, the word I'm looking for should be obvious.

I know the names of all operatic undecided dukes should be on the tip of my tongue, sadly .... I need even more help. How's everybody else doing with this ??

I've got a very busy day and evening, but I wonder about Rigoletto and Turandot. There's an aria Q
                      Pacta sunt servanda !!!

                        You're well on the way.
Now make a small adjustment to your q word, and you're there!

If there are no takers, do I have to give the answer (and the coleslaw!) and set the next teaser?

                          Come on; you're nearly there.

I also like our host's signature character: Mr Vholes! Think of a vole and what he does in Evelyn Waugh's Scoop!

Am I correct in thinking that the answer is literally in the question?

The answer I was thinking of is the name of the ballet.
                              :-)

It is very closely related to the word in the arias alluded to!
And it's something the vole does!

PS: Yes, the answer is contained in 'the question'!

Thought so - I'm not playing this round because I set the P; just thought I'd test a little theory I had in order to help others
