Well at least I now know that it's not Florence Quivar, the only Q singer who sprang to mind.

Is the word "change " of any significance in the puzzle, I wonder?

Still wondering - looking for links in Bell-Ringing, and the i-Ching.

But also wondering if the "different tradition" might point us towards World Music - and then got discouraged by the number of possibilities thrown up from Googling "World Music" and "skipping songs".

No. The first thing that matters is "juvenile poverty".

Do you mean something like poor boy?

                        skipping, and something better.
                        Something better than skipping?

                        I am trying...

Try just "Poverty" and the juvenile bit might get clearer. "Skipping" and "Better" are separate links, not related to each other.

... quaerendo invenietis and all that - are we by any chance looking for a Latin word / phrase?
