The European Youth Orchestra whose EU funding looked endangered (I hadn't heard of any reprieve, though)
Britten's War Requiem included a setting of Owen's Anthem for Doomed Youth as sung by Peter Pears at the premiere.
The second element is a little more tricky - I've looked fruitlessly at Tchaikovsky's Album for the Youngth, Rachmaninov's Symphony and Janacek's wind quintet ... but either "Youth" or "Peter" doesn't fit.

Indeed! Well done, ferney. Is this a record short time for solving a puzzle?
I wonder if you've secretly been planning a corker of a Z for us?

I too had not heard of Robert Wever, but other composers seem to have set this poem, giving it a different (fuller) title.

Here is where I heard of the reprieve (I was checking what to say!), so if true it is good news:

No - a couple of years ago subby answered a couple of my most fiendishly-contrived puzzles within a minute of my setting them!

No chance - back to the start for me with this A:

Rekindle AA? It's transparent, I think. Here! Here! here!

Is the AA itself intentional, so we are looking for a double, Adam Adamant, for example, like we had with Soulima Stravinsky, iirc?
Not sure what consitutes each hint: rekindle, transparent, and triple here?

            Thanks, I spose!

So now I'm contemplating yellow breakdown vans or support for alcoholics!
Nearly time for a bit of Wagner I haven't heard before, so further thoughts on hold for a while!

Good - keep that up. But don't end up going round in circles.

And yet you're so close with yellow breakdown vans.

More so than (for example) "breakdown trucks".

Or the vehicular one; but the RAC or Green Flag would be useless.

So we have Alcoholics, that prolific writer/composer Anonymous, Automobile (but vans not trucks), or Association.

To quote the late great Anna Russell, I'm as befogged as before!
