Apologies if its already been said, - I cant face checking 65 pages - but when did you last see a manual typewriter (outside a museum)? Or, for that matter, a dedicated word processor? I learned to type on a manual machine, then moved on to word processors (at work, I never owned one).
Something else that has almost vanished is the fax machine, though some businesses still give fax numbers. I well remember standing over the one at work, praying that it would print a little pink dot to show the page was successfully transmitted.

The last time I was able to get ribbons for it was more than 10 years ago, in WH Smiths in Lakeside. On a subsequent visit, the cashier said, "Sorry sir, we don't do them any more", and I returned home and burst into tears. "What's wrong?" "What are we all going to do when the electricity finally goes forever?" I gasped out, between the tears.

How does one make coffee whilst viewing clifftop vistas these days?
Oh come come - don't get all misty-eyed. Cars still have the sockets, and the tech has moved on!
Espresso, signore?

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Seriously though: there's usually a 12v socket somewhere. I have two, actually - on in the central arm-resty bit and one in the boot.
And no, vinchaud - when we take the Hamstrung-Sidney, my man Jitters is always on-hand to deal manually with all beverage-related needs.
