      It was indeed, as fhg has now shown us. I have to confess that I thought at the time that the creature was trying but failing to utter "Shostakovich's", although I could think of no reason why...

                      Yup, those cruel human beasts who eat chicken, eggs, rump/sirloin steaks, Scotch broth, fish, steal honey from bees and milk from cows, and wear woolies and at least some leather on their shoes.

                      I genuinely admire those who have avoided any of that, on principle!

                            In case anyone's yet to mention this (and I really cannot be bothered to check through the entire thread to try to find out for sure), "time" itself cannot "forget" anything; only people can do that. Le temps l'horloge springs to mind, given this week's CotW...

                                I was reminded of interference on the TV from the Hoover among other things, but mostly from my electric train set. I had to put some kind of dampener on to reduce the TV static I seem to remember but still got shouts from down in the living room to turn the train off.
