    RIP Jimmy Hill

Sad passing of a great sports personality. Although he irritated me when I was a very young 'Big Match' addict, I grew to really appreciate his knowledge and understanding of the game, and I became a fan.

Alas, poor Jimmy was in a nursing home, suffering dementia. A release for him and his wife and family. God Bless and RIP

Sad to see Jimmy go - he loved the game totally. I also believe it was him who pushed through with the idea of 3 points for a win.

Sad that Jimmy has gone. Coventry's great manager. Got us into Div 1 in the 1960s. Did so many firsts for football at the club.

Sad indeed. But we can still smile especially if we look up his impersonation on Stella Street

his knowledge and understanding of the game.
Indeed, I was never a 'real' fan of the beautiful game, but if ever I did watch him on TV, he made me want to listen, such was his totally engaging manner; and by all accounts, a charming and affable man. RIP, Jimmy

Certainly a man who had real vision about the beautiful game.
A great shame that he couldn't be around to enjoy a resurgence for the Sky Blues.

                            Very sad news
Todays footballers are indebted to this man.
