For anyone who missed the PM programme, they're looking for super-recognisers - people who never forget a face, can pick people out of a crowd on CCTV, etc. A bit of harmless fun courtesy of the University of Greenwich - I scored 9 out of 14, 10 being the threshold, so alas am not.
Are you a super-recogniser?

I got 12/14. The ones where you see the face head-on to start with, and have to pick it out from profile pictures, are buggers! Also the 'multiple choice' photos were quite heavily distorted in terms of screen ratio - was that deliberate, or something to do with my screen?
It sort of confirms years of being the first to recognise well-known people in a crowd, or in passing on the street. The first time I was aware of it was in the 1980s when I realised instantly that the elderly chap at a neighbouring restaurant table was Marilyn Monroe's ex, Arthur Miller.
By coincidence I heard an amusing story today from a colleague about a first meeting with a client who had chosen to bring along a friend and confidant who was introduced as 'John'. My colleague vaguely recognised 'John' but couldn't place him, and only realised after the meeting that it had been former Prime Minister John Major"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

But when the faces are as distorted as some of them were in the second pic, it's not entirely a matter of recognition, is it?"...the isle is full of noises,
