Roberta Flack (February 10, 1937 – February 24, 2025)

Roberta Flack has died, aged 88. As a black classically trained pianist was unable to achieve her ambitions but turned her talents to singing her own unique brand of soul music combining her inventive piano playing with a wonderfully melodic voice. There were jazz inflences there too, particularly in her later album ‘Roberta’
