    Rattling On or Off?

    Any idea why yesterday's "Rattle at 70" (after Opera on 3) isn't available on Sounds?
    Was there, for example, an unforgiveable announcer faux pas?

    It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      I'm sure, if there was, it will appear on YouTube at some point - rather in the manner of the Today Jeremy Hunt, Culture Secretary classic!

          Still not possible to "Listen Again On BBC Sounds" to Rattle at 70. I've put in a message about it on Sounds......

          I've not seen mention here that on the iPlayer from 9pm last night they screened the Mahler 9 (2023 Prom), from 10pm a compilation of Rattle at the BBC, and from 11pm the 2022 Mahler 2nd Prom. The performance of the 9th was very rewarding, and we'll play the other programmes over the course of the coming week.

              I think "shortly" must mean for a short time... The audio streams survived for ~22.5 hours after broadcast.
              Nothing obvious on the continuity, so French Frank's probably right about rights or the mop-up team.

              I've put in a SOUNDS fault report.

                Can I abuse the hospitality of this thread by heartily recommending the Opera On 3 Cunning Little Vixen on Saturday and the magnificent Tippett Ritual Dances on Live in Concert just now ?

                Both hopefully available on Sounds !

                  the program ref m0027dr7 would imply its not yet broadcast - eg tonight's concert is m0026wt1 - seems very strange

                    I enjoyed the Turnage concerto in the concert tonight more than I did in the Barbican. The guitar was very well balanced, better on the radio than heard from my seat in the front row of the Circle.

                      I thought the performance of the Tippett was outstanding.
