The thing I've always wanted to do is described in Mathias Enard's excellent book Boussole (Compass in English -- READ IT NOW!)
The girlfriend of the main protagonist is a researcher in anthropology. She is studying a tribe who, instead of burying their dead, put the body in a barrel with lots of delicious herbs and spices and leave it to ferment for a few months. When the wine is ready, they all have a fabulous party drinking it.

[QUOTE=kernelbogey;n1319997]Any opinions or recent experiences of Power of Attorney?
/QUOTE]
We have the 'full set' and have sent the first 2 pages (which contain all the basic information you're likely to be asked for) of each to our GP, our local hospital, the care home, our children and everybody involved in our financial affairs and end-of-life arrangements. They have already proved useful - and in some cases essential.Last edited by LMcD; 06-10-24, 21:55.
