    Pavel Kushnir RIP

I found this story so sad.

When a Russian prisoner swap hit headlines recently, a jailed musician’s fatal hunger strike went unnoticed.
Fewer Smart things. More smart people.

Yes, I had just read it. Sad because few knew him, as a pianist or a man, few viewed his videos, few knew of his imprisonment, few knew of his hunger strike, few knew of his death.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Has this forum now become a politics free zone?

Are we all becoming either too bored, or just too scared to write anything - about the UK or the rest of the world?

Maybe we will be banned if we do here!

It's all right, Dave - as long as it's not to criticise British politics.

Hopefully not. I stick to Ukraine but I haven't contributed for some time. That is partly because I have been away, as well as not feeling I had much new to add.

I don't think there was a policy of banning people without due cause. FF had made clear (more than once) what the position is, I feel.
