Possibly, but I think it's more of a tautology. I guess you know best, it's your post.

You seem to be implying that you don't have any learning to do?
And I wasn't saying anything just linking to something that appeared today that seemed relevant.

No worries, PGT - when I did my degree, Burns was on the "Modern Literature" syllabus.

And as for religion and ethics, I think we manage quite well with Ideas and Theory don't we? We actually had a long and very civilised discussion on the Trinity last year which started life as I recall somewhere on the Choir board.

And I think Beefy and ahinton should be sat at opposite corners of the classroom and forbidden to talk about doughnuts and big boys

No, I think nothing of the kind; I merely point out that when certain members seem largely to invite opprobrium and disagreement, the "fish out of water" situation arises. Quite simple, really.

I always listen to Shostakovich without Stalin (don't ignore the role of the listener in this).

"Or onything else at a'", peut-être - as the final line in Ronald Stevenson's Ae Gowden Lyric runs (oh, mon Dieu, if I could only write a song - or even just a melody - that's approaching 1% that good!...)

But, that said, whatever you might consider recommending for BeefO, I have no personal desire to be sat anywhere in this mythical classroom, thanks - let alone to have to discuss doughnuts or puer of any dimensions therein...
