You are very kind. I have no way in at all however.

I do have an "R" although I am willing to accept a democratic decision on this matter! (Do we still live in a democracy (sorry ff, no politics!)?)

      Go for it, please.

(BTW The Exotic was an anagram indicator, and beware of cod-Latin.)

Thank you! I will cogitate this utter fiend whilst I pose "R".

          Seriously, don't touch the snake!

3 works (or rather 4) by the same R.

            Fiendish!

Is the snake biblical? Did Sir Simon Rattle-snake conduct them?

Hahaha! I have no idea if The Great Gurner ever conducted it.

              Not Biblical, no.

Although 2 of the works were recorded/conducted by a previous English semi-gurner (and to my mind, far easier on the eye), and a greater conductor (in my view anyway).

                    Yes, please.

(Sorry, distracted by the French for stapler).

                      Or even a mega-clue.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I cannot guarantee a mega clue, but think of a famous cartoon cat for a way into the composer in question...

Humblest apologies to LMcD, I was trying to be helpful and had missed his Bruno Mantovani.

Tapiola wins the Romeo baton. (Happy to leave the second "tack")
Don't worry - I doubt whether, in the unlikely event of my having made any further progress, I would have been able to come up with a sufficiently elaborate 'R' (or any other future letter, for that matter). I shall now join the ranks of those who content themselves with looking on with a mixture of admiration and bewilderment! )

This is me most of the time!
