    Jesters?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Chout is a jester who outwits all other jesters. Alborada del gracisoo = Dawn Song Of The Jester - pretty straightforward, I would day.

Yes, well done French Frank! I still don't really understand the 'last or first' business, or where the 'D's' or tents of Kedar fit in, or what the actual piece was, but am happy to move on. Any chance of a a slightly Easier E?

I have an E but I'm not sure how much appetite there is left for this game ... :irony3:

I suppose it depends on how digestible the questions (and sometimes the answers) are .
My not inconsiderable ability to solve cryptic crosswords (which you mentioned earlier) fairly rapidly has sadly proved inadequate - or irrelevant - of late when it comes to AA!

I had a kinder D question, but unfortunately didn't get my answers right to C so didn't have a chance to ask it. But take a look at the E question anyway:

This composer was one of five, and you are looking for one of his Opus 50

This composer had a watery end and you need one of his Opus 37

This man left his home for ever, yet died in his natural surroundings; the work is one of his Opus 2

What E links the three works?

                    Enrique?
Enrique Granados died at sea and composed a set of Danzas Españolas Opus 37
Enrique Fernández Arbos, who was born in Madrid and died in San Sebastian, composed Tres Piezas Originales en Estilo Español.
So could the answer be Español?

That's not the E but the rest is definitely on the right track. A good start!

Could you have a look at #339?

No, you've got the right composer for the opus number: concentrate on what part of that work it might be. It doesn't actually begin with E itself.

Does the "one of five" refer to the 'Mighty Handful'?

Apologies, my fault, over-complicating things as always.
A kinder D would have been better.
