    I have a completely undeserved V I could offer…

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

        Funny you should say that…

Combining a pair of continents and some Lancias with a little alchemy should produce a V

You're a star, a fiendish puzzle setter, but still a star.

Subject to demand, I’ll give it the evening (for those who’ve been out carolling or shopping or tobogganing or whatever) before giving clues

or even a bit of gardening!

treVi, fulVia and flaVia don’t reveal much except a certain fountain in Rome and Respighi played the violin. That gets me nowhere pdq!

                Indeed - the wrong Lancias…

How about Anselmo Lancia as composed by Walter v G?

                        First clue?

Instead of alchemy, you could try a Tarot reading…

If I were applying cryptic crossword rules, I'd be thinking that combining two continents would have to be something like NASA or SANA (North and South America), or possibly Asia somehow, as the other continent names seem implausible. But that's as far as I've got.

                              Time for a further clue I think…

The V you’re looking for is the name of a composer.

                                Is it Von Tumbleweed?
