        indeed yes.

obviously they were not disgusted to be there!

Leon Goossens - Oboeist in a famous musical family died in TW in 1988, aged 90.

Roy Douglas - probably best known for his arrangement of Chopin’s music for Les Sylphides - was born in TW and lived to be 107

Jeff Beck - Guitarist first came to prominence when he replaced Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds - lived near TW towards the end of his life and died there last year aged 78.

on points looks like Tapiola U are the next clUe setter.

Thank you cloughie. Nice puzzle, that! I have a U, which may be very easy:

What U connects Jerry, Alexis and Jerry? All 3 elements are musical, but the U in question is not, relatively speaking.

Hmm, are Jerry, Alexis and Jerry musicians, of any kind?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Yes, all 3 are (or were until they died) musicians.

I just wondered whether Alexis meant something of which I hear but do not avail myself.

                Weissenberg?

                  Not Weissenberg.

All 3 are musicians and, more specifically, composers of music.

                    Could the U be Ukulele?

Struggling with deceased composers... I could only really find Alexis Roland-Manuel or Alexis de Castillon.
Jerry Goldsmith did The Man from U.N.C.L.E. theme.

I wondered at one point if they were three cousins who shared an Uncle.

Haha. NOT Ukulele. These three composers are not necessarily of the "classical" variety. You are on the right track with Jerry Goldsmith and U.N.C.L.E. though! Keep going...

I can think of an Alexis but maybe I’m in the wrong Korner!

                            Another Jerry is Herman

Uncle is indeed the answer. Any further ideas about the other two composers?

                                Oh no!

I won't be around tomorrow, so I'll leave it to others to work the rest out and claim Victory.
Skool trip to Tropical World (should at least be nice and warm), but also some outdoor play in Roundhay Park, a fairly rundown part of Leeds if Liz Truss is to be believed.
