Did Li-Wei Qin premiere Mantovani Bruno's Cello Concerto?
A General Qin led a Chinese delegation to a NATO conference.

And I was going to suggest Yo-Yo Ma
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Perhaps Qin's familiar father was also NATO member?

          Eh? Whose 'familiar father'?

(What happens if 2 different people each solve one of your 2 posers, by the way?)

            Not his Mama.

(They have to produce a joint committee poser
            The second one is optional.)

Sorry, you've lost me completely - I'll leave it to others to work out what's going on.

Queyras is the answer to the first "tack", I think.

Jean Guihen Queyras has recorded Britten and Bach Cello Suites, also LvB Cello Sonatas and premiered B Mantovani's Cello Concerto. "NATO Q"? He was born in Quebec, Canada being a NATO country.

NATO phonetic alphabet - Quebec, Oscar (as in ff's Wilde), Papa, Romeo & Juliet, Charlie & Mike...
Humblest apologies to LMcD, I was trying to be helpful and had missed his Bruno Mantovani.

Tapiola wins the Romeo baton. (Happy to leave the second "tack")

Ah! Of course, the phonetic alphabet!

Intrigued and baffled still by Tack 2! Are you sure you want to leave it?

If you fancy giving it a try... please go ahead.
It's a single word beginning with Q and the musical link is tenuous (& only via the four people at the end - but there are others!)
