As anton said, you were never alone. I think some of us were not waving, but drowning.

On I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, there's a lovely round were you have to give words that have no connection with previous ones - and be challenged if a tenuous link can be forged.
      How about "Alphabet Disassociations"?

Is there any particular reason why Music Associations is seasonal but AA isn't?

Historically it never was but at some point waned in popularity and went into a long coma. It was revived seasonally in Advent 2022 and then faded but I see no reason why we should not bring it back with a view to permanence should it thrive.

Breathing a little oxygen back into this thread, which J has had rendezvous, chronologically, with Charlotte, Isabelle and a gong?

                The J is musical.

Is the ‘gong’ the percussion instrument or an award or medal?

Just the one rendezvous in total, one rendezvous with each or more than one rendezvous with each, and does 'has had rendezvous' have a specific meaning, i.e. one other than 'has met', that is currently unknown to yours truly?

Rendezvous is a plural in this context. The wording of the complete puzzle is important (there are 6 clue elements therein relating to the J in question...).

Not sure I follow that - never mind! The only J that springs to mind is Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxygène).
