    Pappano's greatest arias BBC

I enjoyed this but was frustrated by the inconsistency in naming or not naming the singers in the various clips. In particular, Che Gelida...I thought it was Domingo but couldn't identify Mimi. But the BBC website attributes this to being Pavarotti but as far as I am aware all the clips I've ever seen of him were bearded ! This artiste was clean-shaved!

    Can anyone help, please ?

    TIA

The Rodolfo in the opening montage is Michael Fabiani from the current ROH production . The Rodolfo in the main clip 40 mins in is Domingo.
I can’t work out who the Mimi is with PD - could be Freni or Cotrubas.

PS according to the incomplete ROH database Domingo only sang the role there with Ricciarelli and Ilana Tokody . Could be the latter as the former was spectacularly blonde . (And one helluva singer)

I'll have to watch on catch up, I've always found Cotrubas's voice distinctive so I'll test my ears....

Many thanks. EH. I also thought it was Domingo so your confirmation is welcome! I also wondered if it was Freni. Will await Mike's input with interest.

Ha...it was neither but a singer I've never heard of ...Teresa Stratas and you can see the same clip here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsCmarOGtkk

Hi, Anastasius, I hope you'll continue to enjoy Teresa Stratas' singing. I can recommend he 'Lulu' on the DG /Boulez recording of the restored three-act version, a major achievement in every way.
