Reminds me of listening to Polish radio - I loved hearing them announce whichever opera it was Giuseppa Verdiego.

Me neither umslopogaas. I bought this record because of the cover and the Charlie Gillett sleeve notes. It was a life changing record for me.

I never understood why they changed the cover when they re-released it on CD - and the CD quality was never nearly so good. What an LP! What a tree!

                Unknown pleasures. Joy division.

                The correct use of soap.magazine.

And talking of villa lobos, the cover of the Sao Paolo SO disc which includes Choro no 9.
                Cool inside and out .

If I may be allowed to intrude with a spot of classical retro, the cover below I think is one of the most perfect and for me, resonant of all album covers, drawing me in to these pieces when I was the age of the two lads depicted therein:

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                          Nice one Rob.

I can't count how many girls I impressed, walking around the school with that album under my arm - on reflection, probably not many, it was an all-boys school!!
