    You don't - once you're in, that's it!

    Seriously, though - please don't.

Email me and say exactly what you're cancelling. The forum has members, FoR3 does not.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Well, I do sometimes get fed up with the 'it's my forum/organisation & I'll do as I want' approach to things. I wouldn't want to be associated with a real-time organisation or group that acted in that way.

I think PMs are the best way to sort this out.

#5 Flosshilde, neither would I want to be associated in real time with such an organisation, but that, to me, is an important point: this forum is not a real time organisation. All and any of us can enter at any time, stir up old controversies and start future fights (within the administrators' rules of course). You MUST stay with us, you girls are very important and your sister Brunnhilde is a very sexy item, though any of you girls who can ride an eight legged horse are worth a couple of drinks, in my book.

Please dont go, but if you must, have you got Brunnhilde's phone number?

I do hate drama queens. If you were really serious about leaving then you could quite simply have PM'd FF. FF puts up with a heck of a lot of stick and to be honest I think that many posters, yourself included, push the limits and FF's liberal moderating.

Don't forget to shut the door on your way out.

Darling, what is life without a little drama now and again?

But actually I wasn't talking about leaving the board, just FoR3, and as ff has often said the board isn't 'officially' part of FoR3.

Being a 'supporter of FoR3' simply involves indicating officially that you 'support' the aims of FoR3 vis à vis the BBC/R3 (which you did on 20 Dec 2014 at 15.18h) and confirmation that you would be added to the (bulk) newsmailing and supporters lists (which was correctly notified approximately two hours later); thereafter you get the regular newsletter.

Whereas one would expect people to withdraw their 'support' because they have issues with the aims of FoR3, it can be withdrawn for any reason or none. That will not affect the forum or the way it's run: you merely indicate to the public at large that Flosshilde is fed up with the forum being run by a dictatorial autocrat but still wishes to be a member.

                          I await instructions …
