    Light fantastick

What do people think? Should we shake a leg in this area?
Or maybe it is too early in the year?

I'll start us off with a Bach gavotte, from Partita number 6, I think. I wonder if anyone has attempted choreography for this?

Not really a dance, but I can picture people dancing to it, and I like it
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I like it too, especially the attendant infant...and the educated air of the various nymphs and graces. But someone was spending a lot of time at the wash-tub.

No-one seems to be in dancing mood. Pity, that.

A party political broadcast on behalf of the Greenilex Party, perhaps...

Me neither - some context please.

              Glad it's not just me.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Imagine how hot and sweaty those poor Groosland dancers felt.

But thanks, I enjoyed every minute.

At least the Furry Dance has costumes...

It's probably more important to listen than to look

Oh God...you've just wrecked my fave Brandenburg. They might at least have had the 'dancers' in groups of 3 to reflect Bach's cunning plan. I shall not be able to program it again without Beryl Cook flashing (Oh God, even worse) before my eyes.

                        Flashing fantastic.

A bit like stone fertility carvings on holiday...Malta, probably, with an audience of miniature Mediterranean elephants.

I don't know if this is what the thread is about, but I've booked to see 'Seven' at the Edinburgh Festival - a dance performance to Mahler's 7th Symphony. If I don't like the dance I can always shut my eyes.

I naturally assumed the thread referred to the work by Howard Skempton, as heard on Hear and Now.

Hesitate to mention Jack Vetteriano and the butler, but some yellow sands might be a good idea.
                              And some not-so-wild waves.
