    復活祭のお祝い

Easter is one annual event that all embracing Japanese culture has never quite managed to embrace. An annual event with no fixed date just doesn’t fit into their national psyche, I suppose.

I prefer Easter to come later rather than sooner, usually around April 20 is more to my liking than late March/early April. A glance at next year's calendar reveals that it's even earlier with Easter Day being on March 27

Nevertheless, a Happy Easter to one and all.

          And to you also

Personally I prefer Easter to occur at the bonkers random time that it does already
it's always good to have a bit of chaos and randomness in the world

              Not quite random!

Easter Day is always the first Sunday after the nearest full moon to the Spring Equinox, so it could be as early as March 23rd, but no earlier.

Simple really ! Somebody in a monastery somewhere thought it up, no doubt.

If you want a later Easter you could always celebrate with the Orthodox Church: April 12th this year, May 1st next year. You can find a list of dates for several years ahead at http://gogreece.about.com/cs/greekor...asterdates.htm
