Interesting point. I worked a long time in the malarious tropics and most of the people I met, like me, took anti-malarial drugs to prevent malaria. A few didnt, preferring to take the risk and then take curative doses when they got the disease. I never met any one who took sugar pills. I did meet a newly arrived teacher at the local high school, who might or might not have been taking his pills, but who got cerebral malaria one evening and was dead by the following morning. You have to have a fantastic grip on unreality to not take your tablets under that sort of threat.
If only the debate were really over

Is there clinical trial evidence of clinical outcomes of homeopathic medicine, either used as a supplement to conventional medicine or as a substitute for it?
Maybe it's unethical to clinically trial it because medical science can't even hypothesise a mechanism for it to have a beneficial effect?

Youtube clip or not, he is a highly qualified ( and highly placed) scientist, who clearly doesn't fit the "anti science" profile that Homeopathy believers have been given on this thread.
you can find a youtube clip to show just about anything.

I think you will find he is the director of a homeopathic hospital
so it's kind of obvious WHAT he will believe in (take a look at the Dawkins clip though it's interesting)

the important point is that he is a well qualified doctor and scientist who presumably believes in this stuff. that there are scientists like this was brought into question up thread.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

not the point though.
just watched a half hour piece with dawkins and fisher. they seemed to be pretty much singing off the same hymn sheet,in terms of what works, and when the work of Fisher's unit should start.

I agree with that entirely, Anybody who wishes to avail themselves of homoeopathic treatments should do so at their own personal cost. They cannot expect those who feel it is a waste of time and even dangerous to share the burden through taxes. So that is at least one area of agreement amidst all the 'hot air'.
Some insurance companies offer 'protection' against the cost of such treatments, as a quick check on the internet will confirm.
