I have too much time on my hands today. I was idly looking at Google Maps and found two circles to the east of Denver, Colorado. They must be fields irrigated by a rotating sprinkler. Going in closer was surprising:

Are you spending this cold (it's not much above 5° here) afternoon faffing around with maps rather than getting a delicious meal ready for Mrs. Flay when she returns from work?

Google Street View
The last posts have introduced a subject which I have wanted to discuss on the Forum for some time. Google Streetview have introduced some recent changes at the street view (i.e. on-ground view) level which are unnecessary and very annoying in my opinion. You can still direct yourself by clicking in the direction indicated by the arrow, but turning the compass indicator thingy to look left or right now swings you much further round to one side or the other than previously, when it was possible to fine-tune with greater precision. This means that when adjusting for a bend in the road, you may find half the view blocked by a hedgerow, say, or, if re-adjusting to attempt looking straight ahead, following a row of houses at an awkward angle on the opposite side. Try turning around, to look backwards, and at midpoint the road assumes a strange curved aspect, the effect of which is to disorientate and make it almost impossible at junctions to figure out which of any number of roads one is looking down. This is not helped by no longer being able to enlarge and focus in on details any more, such as street names or house numbers. This has transformed what was previously a pleasurable way of touring places and planning visits based on knowledge of the appearance of buildings, presence of yellow lines for parking, etc., into an afunctional nightmare.
