The first million digits of pi (π) are below. Why not calculate the circumference of a circle using pi here. Or simply learn about pi here. Maximize the fun you can have this Pi Day by checking out…
[This it typical - I think it's a joke!! I don't handle such things very well. ]
well we are unlikely to get to the golden mean phi any time soon, that would undoubtedly square the circle [or spiral the squares never could remember which .... and spelling Fibonacci is always a challenge eh?]
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
It's the first official Pi Day Cymru here, an initiative backed by the Welsh Assembly as a way of honouring Anglesey-born mathematician William Jones, (who came up with the idea of pi in 1706) and there's evidently lots of pi related activities going on in schools a day early - although it's all Greek to me!

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

So Jones the pi, then; was he by chance a member of pi'd Cymru?...
I notice from the heading that Pi, like everything else these days, has been taken over by the EC.
You cryptic so-and-so, you
