You'll easily squeeze 2 pints of London Pride at the Artillery out of 8 quid!

I think I may well take the general advice to drive in ( after 6 to avoid congestion charge?), Try to find Gurney's free parking spot, and spend the £8 on a Barbican pint. !

Many thanks for ALL the advice, much appreciated.

      Anybody else going?
If you get there after six o'clock you can park where Gurnemanz suggests, but if you get there before the congestion charge ends (I always did and it was six-thirty previously?) you can still park 15 minutes (maybe 10) minutes away from the hall.

You have £8 for the bar - you'll get half a Ben Truman for that!!!

Edit: I've just read Caliban's post #16 and my beer advice is superfluous!

I agree that driving in against the traffic and parking nearby is a good plan. The Barbican car park fee is reduced if you are going to a concert. Does the £8 mentioned take this into account?

Now you mention it, you may be right about the parking concession. I don't recall paying as much as £8. I did look on the site earlier, it says £8 but says nothing about a reduction if you are attending a concert.

I wouldn't trust a single word this chap says
His fellow travellers have a very tenuous grasp of geography and anyway before the 'invasion' there was NO traffic in London at all

Yes, your oft-worn "Mr Sarky" pants would appear to be de rigueur this morning, Sir.

I've laid them out in Sir's rubber bedroom
