confused to the point of discovery eh?

Place the sugar in the glass and the angostura bitters.
Add half the Bulleit Bourbon and the orange peel zest.
Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
          Fill the glass with ice.
Add the remaining Bulleit Bourbon and orange zest and give it one final stir.

          that'll sort it ...

The Eroica Symphony is a good example of "Graphic notation"
            This isn't

            but it's still notation

It'd sort me. The Old-Fashioned is one of my top 2 or 3 favourite snifters. I can guzzle it like fruit juice

Perfect preparation for the sort of composition referenced in this thread.

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I guess - but I've always wondered what the need was thought to be for a "performer" in this - er - piece; also, no details of the make of the piano to be used are provided and, in the absence thereof, no consideration appears to have been given to the possibility that Bösendorfers' taste in hay might be quite different to Steinways' - or indeed to the risk of the effects of indigestion being demonstrated by the piano before the audience (assuming there to be an audience).

I've been tempted to wonder if a performance of this might be improved somewhat by having a pianist involved in it who could play There's a hole in my bucket at some point...

Of course! - now why didn't that occur to me?! The pianist would be a straw man, presumably...
