Amazon just hiked up their delivery charges!!!!

I've just noticed that Az delivery charges, including those of marketplace have been hiked up massively! from £1,80 to £2,80 for UK deliveries, and to over four quid to EU

This is a very unreasonable increase!

I'm still seeing £1.26 for a CD. I thought books had been £2.80 for quite a while?

maybe VN is looking at delivery on new items?

good time of year to take up a free month of amazon prime, but remember to cancel, and that tax paying outlets are also available !!

Yes - same here; I don't buy anything other than books, CDs and DVDs from Amazon, so no change in price for me. Yet.

        Sorry.

It's probably because Amazon is trying to recoup the cost of lost Prime customers (including me), following their massive price hike there.

This is really very bizarre, indeed. The prices - just two minutes ago, do indeed, appear to be what they were before the 'hike'. I was definitely not hallucinating, I can assure you of that, and I was not on Amazon Prime, and I was looking for a particular used CD..... nothing different from what I've been doing for years.
                So - a mystery! Wish I'd done a 'screen-grab'

Anyway - I found what I was looking for on Az France - and it was even cheaper!

I have just paid £1.26 for a DVD and £1.26 for a CD. Books have been £2.80 for years. I don't recognise the £1.80 charge, for anything.

Maybe Amazon look in on here and see that some people say nasty things about them!

( I don't imagine that amazon have to find their way here to hear bad things about themselves....:)
If people don't like Amazon they should boycott them, unless they are hypocrites.

I think you will find that, because we are British,(those of us that are) we are well within our rights to just grumble about them, but still use the service.

Faux-left polemic is not the same as grumbling, but at least you acknowledge the contradiction.

I should have been more specific; £1,80 for stuff to go to France.....

...... I've never slagged off Amazon on here! Not guilty, your 'onnah...
