    It does make me cringe when people are insensitive, not about what they say but who they're saying it to, and in what circumstances.

    I like the Wikipedia axiom: "Alway assume good faith." Even when we get newcomers who are unfriendly (and that does happen, doesn't it?), it's best to hold fire until their purpose in joining is clear.

    As for being 'well-regulated', there have been those who have resigned because they consider it too regulated and interfering Mea culpa.
    It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
