The Tide of opinion seems to be that problems are manageable, one way or another. Luceat Lux.

    Stan Brown's file might help - http://oakroadsystems.com/genl/itunes.htm

Try making a playlist. Sometimes searching under "albums" helps.

My apologies for ressurecting this thread, but is anybody who possesses one able to tell if the suggested player works with Ubuntu, and is able to convert wav and flac files into the format it uses? I'd like to be able to load CDs onto it, plus files already on my pc. I hope that makes sense, but I am technologically challenged. One of the unanticipated disadvantages of retirement is that there is no longer a body of students eager to curry favour with me by solving my IT problems.

            Lol!

Indeed, not students in my case, but IT staff. I took it for granted - nowadays I have to ask in here!
