Ooh - thanks everybody for remembering!
A lunch out in a local eatery with two of my oldest friends yesterday; this afternoon a ring on my doorbell, and the Italian family next-door outside, singing "Happy Birthday" in Italian, the mum holding a candle for me to blow out, ("One year old!") and her 3-year old daughter a box subsequently found to contain six chocolate doughnuts!
