Give me the malt whisky and give someone else the real ale and the blended whisky!

That would depend to some extent upon the period of time over which he consumed it, surely?!...

Ah, ofcourse it would be the pint of real ale, not the whisky! :)

Well I am 69 today - or soixante-neuf, as the French would have it, literally. I suppose I'm allowed to say that, this being a once-in-a-lifetime event!

So, it's happy birthday to me, and the young lady I once shared the exact day and year with at the office I worked in - wonder what happened to her - and anyone else celebrated in last nights explosive happenings!

                  Wheeey!

Really?! Just copy the YouTube link, click on the film icon above, paste the link in the slot and click OK... Can't see why your new machine should or could prevent that!

I haven't got my new machine yet!

This ... THING! ... copies the link, but when I try to put it into the text of a message, it buffers for a minute or so, the screen goes grey ("not responding") and then - after another couple of minutes - the Forum page changes back to the BBC Homepage! (Similar problems when I click on links in messages - I still don't know what Flay's youngest hid behind the barbeque!)

                          Many Happy returns S_A.

By my calculations, this piece of Chopin was #1 in the USA on the day you decided to join in .

er , which has nothing to do with anything much, but I feel sure its your kind of thing.

                              Happy birthday in arrears, S-A.

It's our wedding anniversary today. We went out for a mid-morning 'brunch'. Here's the view from our table.

Thanks for your best wishes, all!

The best present was a free pass to one of the more prestigious gigs at the London Jazz Festival. Well, the only one, actually...

Lovely pic there Pabs: if that was this country, right now, those table cloths would be somewhere around Denmark by now!
