    Really exciting - ?

This afternoon Sara Mohr-Pietsch, presenting 'The Choir', said that we could see a great video of Tom Service listening to Wagner. I don't know about Tom, but when I listen to Wagner I tend to sit fairly still; perhaps he jumps about, or pretends to conduct, or something.

Or lower. It's apparently on a new Q & A thingy - it wasn't clear whether it was just for Radio 3, all Radio or the BBC as a whole. Tom is supplying the answers on music.

However, there's no sign of it on any of the websites, so I'll probably never know what Tom does when he's listening to Wagner

I've been listening on iPlayer, but haven't reached the comment in question just yet.

However, I was interested in hearing about the Chapter House Choir, York, as I sung with them for a number of years. The choir member providing the introduction was not identified - possibly by personal request? - but SM-P couldn't help but remind us of who she was.

Oh dear, yes. How utterly embarrassing. And how unnecessary.

            Why DO they do it?

But otherwise, the programme is far better (so far) than SMP's earlier efforts.

I thought she meant it was a listener's guide idea with Mr Service delivering his thoughts whilst listening to the music a la Bridcut docs.

Oh God - either way, i'm having trouble thinking of anything more annoying or nauseating !
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Unless you can find the video in question we'll never know.

I do think that it's a bit useless having a Q&A facility if it's not clearly visible on the website homepage. First question - how do you find it?

The SMP watching TS etc reminds me a of a R4 comedy programme a few weeks about about a whole bunch of people tweeting, retweeting - totally vacuous - which I think was surely the point.

& how do you get there from www.bbc.co.uk? There's no obvious link on the homepage.

I always use Google to find stuff even BBC stuff on the BBC website which can be a frustrating, time-consuming pastime.

Can't remember my search-wording but it was something simple like 'Tom Service listening to Wagner' and I found the elusive link to the video.
