We've had lots of rain here in this bit of the Pennines - non-stop on Monday, and repeated showers yesterday. Gloomy and overcast today - an unwelcome from the warmth and sunshine of last Wednesday - Sunday.

I didn't get too wet cycling back from choir last night, thank goodness.

Our town had its carnival procession yesterday in rainy, chilly and windy conditions. Sod's Law - today would have been ideal. We used the beautiful sunny weather this afternoon to visit John Betjeman's ex-residence, a lovely Georgian parsonage in Farnborough (Berks). The garden was open for charity under the National Garden Scheme. Attractive memorial stained glass window in the parish church next door.
Re Stormy Weather: We recently saw Bob Dylan in concert at Bournemouth. He sang it.

Glorous sunset here just now - hope someone's managed to capture it with a camera, not possessing one myself.
Today felt a lot warmer than the 23 C max it actually was, notwithstanding a brisk breeze, which made the task of window cleaning problematic! Tomorrow looks likely to be a tad cooler and more cloudy, then it's a gradual warm up from Wednesday onwards, with expected heatwave temperatures over the weekend, though there is some argument as to it it will all break down on the BH Monday.
