I've just looked out, and it's still raining, as it has been all day, but it seems heavier now. More flood warnings are in place.

More rain today. Although, stopped now but was quite heavy, at times!

Dry (the beck in the village a good five or six inches lower than it was on Saturday) with white cloud cover these past couple of days in this bit of the Pennines - and, although colder than over the Christmas/New Year period, still mild for what we're used to at this time of year.

Looks like we're in for a bit more of the wet and windy stuff tomorrow. I had to tap my barometer several times this morning, before cross-checking, to find out that it really is that low today!

Well the garden is like a quagmire, and it slopes to the bottom where the water collects into a natural pond.
I went to the shoe shop hoping to buy a pair of wellies, Clarks in this case, but sales assistant informs me that they only do childrens wellies! Goodness sake, I need wellies for the garden, plus adults like to splash in puddles too!

A stiff, still, cold. Dry, there was sun, not now. Put shirt on line to dry, froze in half an hour. Snow etc forecast, but weather system is now moving so slowly, you wonder if it will get here before nightfall. World as if waiting for something to happen.

We have sun! But more wet stuff, later on, though!

It's so cold today! <shiver> Only 1 degree when I left home this morning, although generally bright, but the sky at the moment is heavy and grey and looks full of it. Full of what I'm not sure - but at some stage between now and Friday it seems we'll get some snow here.

On a positive note, as the cold was late coming and we're halfway through January it'll be Spring before we know it! <daffodil>

I'd really rather it wasn't cold, and wasn't going to throw it down all evening, as I will be at the footy.

                        But I think it will.

Felt milder, as the day wore on!

It's starting to sleet here on the Lancashire Coast.

It's been snowing!!! Where did that come from?! (Rhetorical question - I know exactly whence it came - but when? There's quite a good covering, but it's all fallen in the past couple of hours from when I last looked out of the window.)

Very pretty - glad I'm indoors, though!
